At CareHomeLife we appreciate how difficult the pandemic has been on everyone especially the healthcare sector, stretching resources and staffing beyond breaking points. Charitable organisations have also seen a significant reduction in income streams during the pandemic making for exceptionally tough times.

St Catherine’s is a local hospice which cares for adults in Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who have a life-shortening condition, and their loved ones.  They work closely with patients and families to help them achieve what is important to them. Care is personalised to each individual and their circumstances, and aims to help people live in comfort, and with dignity, independence and choice.

During this difficult time, we wanted to make a meaningful charitable donation to organisation that has touched so many lives within the local community. We were in a fortunate position that we were able to supply St Catherine’s Hospice with over £2,000 worth of cleaning chemicals and sanitisers to support them during these unprecedented times.

Emma Grzelczyk, Clinical Administration Manager at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “I’d like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to Care Home Life for their generous donation of cleaning supplies. Our charity’s usual income streams have been hard hit due to the pandemic so this act of kindness is greatly appreciated. Thank you for thinking of us at this time and for being here for us in this meaningful way.”
